Disaster Recovery Plan

If there is a disaster, primary concern is the safety of employees.  Since the Bond Bank has very few visitors, access to telephone, internet and computers are the major concerns for continuing business.  Each employee shall keep a copy of this policy offsite.

Computer Crash:
Computer programs and data are backed up, offsite, every night by IT Services.  Copies of crucial documents related to bond sales are maintained by bond counsel, financial advisor, and trustee.

Office Space Temporarily Closed due to disaster
                  Continuing Business

  • Call phone provider to forward calls
  • Call insurance company to file claim
  • Check with Center at Triangle Park, Inc. for use of a conference room for office, another alternative is for employees to work from home
  • Call computer support company to arrange computer move
  • All employees have internet access at home for remote access to server set up
  • Determine if office equipment and files have to be moved and call moving company, if necessary
  • Copier company may need to be called for service, if copier is moved
  • Determine if DocStar Archival System needs to be moved and set up, may need to call company servicing system
  • Arrange for mail delivery
  • Post change of address on door, if possible
  • Notify Bond Bank Board, Bond Counsel, Financial Advisor and Trustee of event and new location
  • Assess damage and keep records for insurance claim

  • Arrange for mail delivery
  • Post change of address on door, if possible
  • Copier company may need to be called for service, after copier is moved
  • Determine if DocStar Archival System needs to be moved and set up or stored temporarily, may need to call company servicing system
  • Notify Bond Bank Board, Bond Counsel, Financial Advisor and Trustee of event and new location
  • Assess damage and keep records for insurance claim
  • Arrange for disposal of damaged items
